Four More Years!

30 03 2008

I’ve actually only noticed this today…

On March 10th 2007, a then 13 year old kid went onto Blogger and registered a blog, and started typing out posts about whatever. Of course, back then, he was a big loser, and his posts were about stuff that was never going to help anyone, or interest anyone, or amuse anyone, at all. It’s still like that today, but back then, eurgh. Amazingly, 12 months later, it’s still going and the loser who made it is still posting regulary, but it has gone through changes, name changes, url changes, the host moved from Blogger over to WordPress in May. On it’s first anniversary I was… doing something. I didn’t post at all that day due to the internet being broken (even though it was fixed the next day) and I only realised a year had passed today.

Here’s hoping that in some time… this blog will be worth someone’s time, not least mine.

Pretty Much Everywhere, It’s Gonna Be Hot

Idiot, slow down

30 03 2008

The blog got another small re-doing, one of the few problems about WordPress.com is that, while it’s skins are vastly superior to Blogger’s, there aren’t that many, and they could let me use custom ones rather then being made to just choose from the ones that are there. Bah. I got rid of a few things from the sidebar, because well… they don’t really serve a purpose I see needed. I’d also like to thank Josh or whatever his name is for the new tagline. 😉 I’ll probably be adding new things to the sidebar as time passes by…

In other news, tomorrow marks to return of me to the buidling in which I sit in a tiny room and get taught stuff by people who I don’t necessarily have a liking for, after two weeks of lazying about and eating sugary chocolatey egg shaped confections. In layman’s terms, I’m going back to school, and starting tomorrow there won’t be any breaks (apart from May Day, wooo) until it closes for the Summer at the end of May. Which means two months of almost endless school, *insert stupid crybabying here*.

I was going to make a new header but I couldn’t be bothered. And now, over to the weather…

EARTH HOUR WOO!!!

29 03 2008

… it’s quite dark…

Every light in my house is off right now except for a couple lights in the living room (essential lights, apparently, sigh), do your part, at 8 pm today turn your lights off for an hour!

… well, it’s a bit late if you live in somewhere like the UK…

No More Audacity For Me

28 03 2008

Well, at least until I earn 31 euro I’d be willing to spend to get the full version of MixMeister. I don’t really understand why it would cost that much… it doesn’t have that much stuff on it. and the Trial version is incredibly annoying with it’s watermarks.

We’re re-doing the attic, and we’ve already emptied most of it, tomorrow we’re putting in insulation, which means I have to get off my butt and start working.

I wish I had spontaneous random musings out of nowhere more often, that’s starting to become the downfall of the whole site here.

Happy Chocolate Day!

23 03 2008

It didn’t feel a lot like Easter today even though I had my fair share of chocolate (to the point of near sickness, yay!) and I visited my aunt and got even more and, like the big immature child I am, took part in the easter egg hunt. I found a lot of fruit-flavoured sweets which made my day even further, because as great as chocolate is, there’s nothing better then some good ole’ fruit sweets a la Fruit Pastilles and Starburst. Hmmmm. I also set up a little mini-disco for my two little cousins (courtesy of one iPod earplug in one of their ears), they quite surprised me, as they started dancing to anything I played, even stuff like Autechre (I still get questions from my friends as to why I like “that random stupid rubbish”) they danced like a mofo to. Then afterwards they started sifting through music channels and saying what they liked and didn’t, and they gave me a huge shock because the video for “Cassius” by Foals came on and they said they didn’t like it. :O I shall have to correct their ways. Then they just put Kiss (the channel) on and started dancing to Timbaland and Lupe Fiasco… *insert shudder here… well, Lupe’s good, but Timbaland, AAAH*

Enjoy the bunnies and eggs while you can!

The weird thing about electronic musicians is…

22 03 2008

Watching them perform their music isn’t as entertaining as bands that play with guitars and drums and such. Example below.

They’re very good at what they do, and it’s a good performance of their song… but the whole time it’s just two people twiddling some knobs, innit. At least if you actually go see them live there’s an extra light show! Bangin’

I got Antidotes physically yesterday…

22 03 2008

… and my life is complete.

After thinking about it for a while

21 03 2008

I am now prepared to say that Almost Famous is the best movie ever.

Why do I have to be such a loser that I never saw it until, what, last Sunday? 😦 I was missing out on so much!

Also, I just realised that Be Kind Rewind is being directed by Michel Gondry, I was planning on avoiding it but now, I must see it. Gondry is a genius. But still… Jack Black is in it, which may ruin everything. argh!

Yesterday

21 03 2008

Because I have nothing else to type about and yesterday was one of the most eventful days I’ve had for a while (still not very eventful though).

I woke up about half past ten in the morning, then at noon-ish I walked up to the shop nearby where I met a few of my friends, and we went walking up the village and walked further off from it, we met a dog on the way and he started following us, we named him Stick at first because he kept picking up sticks, but later on we re-named him Object because he picked up a bottle of water rather then a stick. We met one of the people who used to go to school with us driving a tractor with his sister (or someone) and we tried to jump onto the tractor and hitch a ride, but we failed, and he said that trespassers will be shot and survivors would be shot again. When he drove away we started walking back and he met us later when he was cycling. We were talking about stuff and attempting to get the dog back home (he was still following us, like ages away from where he started following us), eventually, we just ran back into my house and locked the gates until he walked back home. We then went to one of the other people’s house and played hide and seek in his attic, except this time the seeker had to stand outside the door to the attic and then walk in when the hiders are ready, then try to find them… with the lights turned off! ooh yeah. Except we were cheating by using our phones and their lights. A few of the people had to go home and the remaining people stayed behind and watched The Commitments until I had to go home meself.

I need to go out more often.

Also, I want to know what happened to that dog.
